About your role

This role is responsible for driving end-to-end product development, from concept creation through to commercialization. The incumbent will lead formula and process development for new products, conduct technical risk assessments, and support the successful transfer of innovations into production.

Working closely with cross-functional teams, particularly Marketing, the role will contribute to product concept development, manage project timelines, and generate new ideas through prototyping and on-site (Gemba) activities. The position also ensures adherence to company policies, quality standards, and operational systems, while collaborating on effective lab management to support innovation and development efforts.

What You'll Do

• Partner with Marketing and project teams to develop product concepts, define consumer hypotheses, and guide formulation direction
• Lead end-to-end formula development in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders
• Conduct technical risk assessments, propose solutions, and oversee trial preparation and execution
• Work closely with Marketing and Regulatory teams to ensure formulations meet target claims and comply with Vietnam regulations
• Collaborate with suppliers, procurement, and internal teams on ingredient development to ensure quality and sustainability
• Drive disruptive product innovation through rapid prototyping and lead Gemba activities to capture consumer insights
• Support laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with safety standards, SOPs, and 5S practices

What You need to be successful

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in product development, formulation, or R&D within FMCG or a related industry
• Strong sensory evaluation capability with keen attention to taste, quality, and product attributes
• Solid knowledge of food technology; understanding of beverage processing is an advantage
• Familiarity with Vietnam food & beverage regulations and food safety requirements
• Strong analytical and logical thinking, with good presentation and time management skills
• Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to work with integrity and diligence
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Flexible and willing to travel as required
