Job Responsibilities

  • Tax advisory: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Legal, Commercial Control and other departments to gather necessary information, provide tax advice on daily transactions to ensure compliance with tax regulation (including review of contract where applicable);                
  • Tax compliance: Coordinate with internal departments and external consultants to prepare TP returns and TP documentation; leading tax health check on Sales & Marketing to identify enhancement opportunities and driving implementation of mitigation action plans with stakeholder;                
  • Tax knowledge enhancement: Conducting tax workshop/tax refreshment related to Sales & Marketing to internal teams/external stakeholders; build up tax guideline for other internal team to apply;                
  • Tax audit preparation & management: Assist line manager and other team members on tax audit and tax refund events for Company & Branches;                
  • Tax planning: Stay updated with new tax regulations and provide tax updates to Management/all employees; conduct thorough research on new and existing tax regulations to identify opportunities for tax savings; tax planning for new business (where applicable); and                
  • Others: perform month-end closing tasks and monitoring tax provisions; perform reports as requested by Group; assist team members and other functions to timely provides support on finance events such as interim/final statutory audits, customs audit/appeal or any other activities that are not anticipated.                
     

Skills and Experience

  • BA degree in tax accounting/ accounting/ finance/ auditing; CPA Australia / ACCA (UK) is preferred;        
  • From 5-year tax experience in FMCG/ Big4 companies;        
  • Good knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance and all types of tax returns;
  • Hardworking, flexible, good logic and commercial mindset; strong project management skill and influence skills
  • Ability to work independently and proceed with objectives with minimal supervision
