We're looking for an experienced and energetic Area Sales Executive to join our non-licensed Sales team, supporting the Waikato and South/East Auckland 

 

Reporting to the Area Sales Manager, this role is perfect for someone who enjoys being out in the field, developing people, and driving commercial results. You'll work closely with a team of Territory Managers, providing coaching, training, and leadership support while helping deliver exceptional execution across one of New Zealand's most recognised beverage portfolios.

 

Based in either Hamilton or South Auckland, you'll play a key role in supporting team performance, strengthening customer relationships, and ensuring our brands continue to win at shelf and in-store.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coaching and developing Territory Managers through regular in-field support and route rides
  • Identifying growth opportunities across customer portfolios, including ranging, distribution and chiller execution
  • Supporting the Area Sales Manager with day-to-day team leadership activities
  • Providing Territory Manager relief cover when required across the region
  • Managing and leveraging customer and chiller ranking reports to maximise sales performance and return on investment
  • Supporting the management of key regional accounts and customer relationships
  • Contributing to a high-performing and safety-focused team culture
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, processes and health and safety requirements

You're a motivated sales professional who is passionate about developing others and delivering results. You enjoy building strong relationships, thrive in a fast-paced FMCG environment, and bring a hands-on approach to leadership.

 

You'll likely bring:

  • Proven FMCG sales experience
  • Experience in grocery, route, or direct sales channels
  • Previous people leadership, supervisory, or coaching experience
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to identify growth opportunities
  • Confidence analysing sales data and using tools such as Excel, PowerPoint and reporting systems
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and willingness to roll up your sleeves to support the team

 

Bonus points if you have experience in coaching, project management, business or marketing disciplines.
