About your role
A key leadership role in our business where you will partner with our key Customers to create value and drive Category growth by building strong relationships based on a deep understanding of Consumers and Shoppers. This will include making insight led recommendations during key range reviews so Customers and Suntory can optimise range, space and layout to maximise sales.
You will also take this partnership approach with key Groups and Retailers empowering and supporting our field teams to win instore across the Island of Ireland.
As well as playing a key role externally with Customers, this role will also be influential in supporting and influencing internal Suntory stakeholders as we build our strategies and plans. You will provide analysis and insights leveraging our data bringing a clear understanding of market and brand performance and enabling effective decision-making. This will entail working cross functionally across Sales, Marketing and other key functions
What You'll Do
Build strategic internal and external relationships. Be seen as a go to Category Partner by key Customers so we can influence decisions on range, space and layout. A key KPI will be to grow quality and quantity of space in key Customers.
Use a range of qual and quant insight to deliver rounded insight and recommendations. Lead and support the Business Intelligence manager ensuring clear prioritisation and continuous improvement.
Leveraging the Category Strategy as a platform to drive forward the business internally and with Customers.
Implement and deliver strategic, category-driven projects eg Perfect Store
Project focus – Inc. deep dives into promotions, underperforming segments, value pool analysis
Business Planning – Defining core range, SKU optimisation, and review and course correction of NPD & Core.
Supporting Sales proposals with strong category rationale
Key competencies and skills
Turning macro, category, shopper and consumer data into actionable insight
Transitioning insight into action and delivery
Comfortable using a number of data sources to create insight e.g. Nielsen, Talysis .
Leadership of projects across multiple teams
Ability to engage customers and stakeholders in a strategic agenda
Strategic and Category Thought Leadership
Strong presentation skills
Previous experience in customer facing roles
People management.
