About your role

This position is responsible for leading the design, execution, and continuous improvement of sustainability programs under the Social pillars, translating SPVB’s sustainability strategy and its commitment of “giving back to society” into measurable, compliant, and high-impact initiatives.

What You'll Do

Sustainability Strategy & Social Impact programs

  • Lead the social pillars (e.g. Enriching Life, Positive Choice, Human Right & DEI) in Sustainability agenda.
  • Develop strategy and approaches for each pillar, lead and implement projects, events, programs… with long-term measurable impact.
  • Project management with clear & well-aligned purpose, action plan, timeline and deliverables (SMART objectives).
  • Passionate about contributing to positive social impact and integrating social responsibility into professional work.

Cross-functional & External Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with internal teams, NGOs, government agencies, and industry associations to amplify social impact at local and national levels.
  • Represent and position SPVB as a trusted partner by fostering collaboration and co-creating shared value with other ESG practitioners in Vietnam.
  • Engage with government bodies, regulators, and relevant associations to scale sustainability initiatives and drive systemic, long-term change.

Data Management, Reporting & Compliance

  • Ensure full adherence to environmental laws, regulations, and global ESG standards.
  • Monitor and evaluate social impact performance by managing end-to-end data processes - including collection, measurement, verification, and assurance - in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders (including auditors and consultants), ensuring alignment with global methodologies as well as reporting and auditing requirements.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Drive continuous improvement of SPVB’s sustainability maturity through benchmarking, innovation, and adoption of local and international best practices.
  • Foster a culture of experimentation and learning.

Capability Building & Culture Enablement

  • Demonstrate and deliver the company’s “giving back to society” commitment through professional, caring, and supportive engagement with underprivileged communities, communities in need, and internal employee volunteering initiatives (Helping Hands programs), ensuring social impact activities are purpose-driven, well-executed, and aligned with SPVB’s sustainability objectives.
  • Support company-wide sustainability awareness through training, engagement activities, and internal communications.

 

What You need to be successful

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Public Policy, Economics, or other relevant fields.
  • 5–7 years of experience in sustainability, ESG, compliance, or related fields, preferably within FMCG, or regulated industries, with at least 2 years in managerial role.
  • Proven experience in managing sustainability programs or complex cross-functional projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of ESG principles, sustainability reporting standards, and regulatory requirements relevant to Vietnam.
  • Experience collaborating with external stakeholders (NGOs, consultants, industry bodies, authorities).
  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into structured execution and measurable outcomes.
  • Proven track record of contributing to community, sustainability, or purpose-driven initiatives; experience in NGOs or social enterprises is a strong advantage.
  • Strong project management and execution discipline.
  • Stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Analytical, data-driven, and structured problem-solving.
  • Resilience and adaptability in a complex, evolving regulatory environment.
  • Strong bilingual proficiency (Vietnamese & English) - writing and speaking.
