About your role
The purpose of this position is to coordinate the shift-based Maintenance Engineering team, supporting planned maintenance execution and delivering shift metrics across Safety, Quality, Performance, Cost, and People Development balanced scorecard.
What You'll Do
Coordinate and hold the shift engineering team accountable for delivering planned maintenance activities.
Support the Site Shift Manager in reacting to on-shift operational situations.
Manage safe working behaviors and lead behavioral safety programs within the maintenance team.
Ensure product quality through maintenance activities and achieve zero overdue compliance actions.
Manage contractor permit control and adherence to safety standards.
Develop and support planned maintenance activities to improve asset reliability.
Support SAP and other systems for planning, control, and continuous improvement.
Lead root cause analysis for engineering breakdowns and embed TPM pillars including Autonomous and Planned Maintenance.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and enhance equipment reliability.
Contribute to capital projects by identifying obsolescence risks and reliability enhancements. Support stores management by ensuring stock accuracy and adherence to stock control policies.
Identify skills gaps and support people development through training plans and performance feedback.
Commit to self-development and promote automation capabilities within the team.

What You need to be successful
Essential
Indentured Apprenticeship in Engineering
ONC/HNC qualification within an Engineering Discipline
Solid experience in FMCG manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of asset reliability and maintenance techniques
Mechanical, Electrical, or Multiskilled engineering background
Good communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work autonomously and lead a team
Commitment to safety and quality standards
Basic computer literacy and willingness to adopt new technologies
Desirable
Experience in bottling or similar FMCG production environments
Knowledge of process control systems
Experience with SAP maintenance modules and automation
Demonstrated leadership in continuous improvement and TPM implementation
