About your role
The purpose of this position is: To maximise the performance of production assets in Safety, Quality, and Delivery, supporting manufacturing operations and maintenance activities.
What you’ll do
Maximise asset performance in safety, quality, and delivery within the production area.
Drive and maintain a strong health and safety culture, ensuring compliance with all regulations and timely resolution of safety issues.
Conduct quality checks and ensure adherence to GMP, ISO 22001, and other quality standards.
Operate, prepare, and clean processing equipment, supporting routine maintenance and line changeovers.
Support Manufacturing Engineers during planned maintenance and breakdowns.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives including Root Cause Analysis and Operator Asset Care.
Mentor and integrate new starters into the team.
Balancing multiple priorities of safety, quality, and delivery under production pressures.
Rapidly responding to and resolving performance losses and equipment issues.
Maintaining compliance with stringent quality and safety standards.
Supporting maintenance activities during downtime while maintaining production readiness.
Adapting to changing production demands and continuous improvement initiatives.
Manage cost-effective operations by minimising waste, downtime, and speed losses.

What you need to be successful
Essential
Minimum 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including English, Mathematics, and Science
Knowledge of Operator Asset Care (OAC)
Understanding of SMED (quick changeover) techniques
Familiarity with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) techniques (5Ys & 4Ms)
Good oral and written communication skills
Basic computer literacy and openness to new technology
Ability to work independently and take ownership
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer service
Manual dexterity and capability for manual handling
Desireable
Experience supporting maintenance activities
Involvement in continuous improvement projects
Mentoring or coaching experience
Knowledge of GMP and ISO 22001 standards
