About your role
The purpose of this position is to oversee procurement activities and support continuous improvement of engineering stores to enhance maintenance planning and execution, improving site-wide performance aligned with KPIs.
What You'll Do
Manage all requisitioning and purchasing requirements for the Engineering department ensuring best supplier selection based on price, quality, and service.
Maintain accurate stock levels and stock accuracy in SAP, adhering to stock reduction plans.
Support the Stores Manager in enforcing stores management procedures including cycle counting and 5S.
Ensure compliance with purchasing processes related to MRP, PM activities, and indirect procurement.
Support contractor management for stores service providers to deliver value for money and budget adherence.
Assist in the development and maintenance of SAP PM and other systems to improve maintenance planning and control.
Produce weekly stock expenditure reports highlighting asset management costs and repeat product failures.
Promote and support continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, GMP, and TPM pillars.
Demonstrate safe working behaviors and conform to site safety standards and procedures.
Identify personal skills gaps and contribute to training and development plans.

What You need to be successful
Essential
Demonstrable experience in FMCG or manufacturing stores environment
Statutory compliance knowledge within manufacturing
Highly numerate (GCSE Maths or equivalent)
Good understanding of inventory management and procurement processes
Experience with CMMS systems, preferably SAP PM or MM
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel
Good engineering or product knowledge in FMCG
Strong oral and written communication skills (GCSE English or equivalent)
Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
Commitment to customer service and vendor relationship management
Desirable
Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S and TPM
Knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance and modular maintenance concepts
Previous exposure to refurbishment and indirect procurement processes
