About the role

The Food and Drink industry is an exciting place to be a Qualified Engineer. Suntory is a global company with over 125 years experience, creating new value and always providing high quality iconic products to enrich the everyday lives of our consumers. Our workforce uses technically automated equipment to manufacture 650 million of Lucozade and Ribena bottles. As an engineer, you will have a direct impact on the quality, characteristics and availability on shelves of our products.

Though starting and spending the majority of your time at our Coleford Factory in Gloucestershire, this is a national apprenticeship, and you will be studying and training in a cohort with other apprentices. You will be covering various aspects of Engineering and will have the opportunity to gain an Apprenticeship Standard level 3 qualification and a level 3 Diploma in Food & Drink Engineering Maintenance.

In this job, you will learn the skills and techniques to be able to...

• Plan and prepare for maintenance work
• Conduct planned maintenance, including testing, fault finding, repairing and manufacturing or replacing component parts
• Conduct predictive maintenance Respond to breakdowns
• conduct reactive maintenance and perform corrective actions Understand the basics of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and integration into fault finding Lead and support operational teams with machinery changeovers, setups
• Maintain engineering documentation
• Ensure the availability and performance of equipment
• Contribute to internal and external audits
• Support and communicate with operational team members

The first year you will spend 4 days in college and 1 day on site. Year 2, 2 days in college 3 on site, Year 3 1 day in college and 4 on site. Year 4 all week on site.
