About your role
The primary responsibility of the Energy and Sustainability Engineer is to drive continuous improvement in energy efficiency, resource utilization, and sustainability performance across the site. This includes developing and implementing strategies to reduce carbon emissions, optimize energy consumption, and ensure compliance with environmental standards, while supporting the site’s long-term sustainability goals.

In this role, you’ll lead energy‑reduction and carbon‑saving initiatives, deliver sitewide sustainability improvements, and champion data‑driven efficiency across a major FMCG operation.

What You need to be successful
Indentured Apprenticeship
HNC/HND in Engineering, Energy Management, or Sustainability discipline.
Solid experience in energy management or sustainability within FMCG or manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of energy systems, renewable technologies, and sustainability frameworks.
Experience with ISO 50001, ISO 14001, and environmental compliance.
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret energy data for decision-making.
Knowledge and experience of techniques that drive reliability of assets including:
Formal qualification in Continuous Improvement Principles (ideally Kaizen, 6 Sigma Green Belt or equivalent) would be advantageous.
