Costing Manager
About your role
- Manage and supervise all aspects of cost accounting operations, including product costing inventory control, and cost of goods sold (COGS).
- Lead preparation of annual operating plan (AOP) and monthly forecast focusing on COGS.
- Perform variance analysis on actual versus budget/forecast.
- Act as a key Finance business partner with Supply Chain department to drive cost efficiency and improvement.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing activities for the costing area.
- Ensure cost accuracy and compliance with internal policies.
What You'll Do
- Conduct Annual Operating Plan (AOP – annual budget) for SBFT products. Lead the annual budget preparation process including assumptions on material and manufacturing overhead cost and collaborate with Supply Chain team on production capacity plan, BOM, and Routing.
- Conduct COGS monthly forecast and variance analysis. Provide insights on cost driver and highlight risk & opportunity to the management.
- Deliver monthly reporting on COGS performance and related areas with clear explanation to the management team.
- Prepare inter-company price for SBFT products selling to other business unit/market.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing activity on Costing area.
- Ensure internal controls and compliance in place for Costing area. Prepare control self-assessment (CSA) and provide support to both External and Internal audit for Costing area.
- Lead Costing team with given support and guidance, ensuring strong technical capability in costing and SAP. Provide coaching to team members and promote cross-functional understanding of costing processes.
- Act a key finance business partner to support factory improvement and initiative.
- Support knowledge sharing and process harmonization/standardization across markets.
- Partner with, but not limited to: -
- Finance and Accounting team to ensure accuracy with actual financial information.
- Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement team to provide financial insights and support.
- External auditor, and official Authorities.
What You need to be successful
- Master’s (or) Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
- 7+ years of working experience in Supply Chain Finance or Cost Account in multinational company. FMCG experience is preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in Costing manager role.
- Strong experience in Product Costing, Budgeting & Forecasting, and Standard Cost & Variance Analysis.
- Strong proficiency in SAP (costing-related module) and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Fluent in English both written and spoken. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative and open mindset.
- Result-oriented, analytical, and able to work well under pressure with tight timeline.
- Able to travel or work at Pinthong Industrial Estate, Chonburi.
