Sr. Engineering Technician-PM & Improvement

About your role

• To be able to manage Production machines such as Blema, Husky and Sacmi to support production lines to be operated at optimum Efficiency, higher Productivity and required Quality.
• To be able to manage the Facilities and Utilities equipment such as Aircon, Air compressor and Chiller, to support the production lines to be operated at optimum efficiency.
• To be able to plan and perform Periodic Maintenance and cleaning of machines and equipment
• To able to find root cause relating to production machine and troubleshoot at minimum downtime without affecting production line
• To able to support the operations in producing and maintaining product quality.

What You'll Do

• Plan and implement Periodic Maintenance of machine; daily, weekly, monthly and yearly.
• Perform daily inspection and data gathering of machine.
• Report unusual machine condition to the supervisor.
• Identify root cause of the problems encountered on the machine.
• Troubleshoot all problem (Minor and Major) and come up with the countermeasure to prevent recurrence.
• Replace Major parts of the machine.
• Assist external service provider in the inspection of machine.
• Manage machine documentation and creation of standards in machine operation, maintenance and quality.
• Assessment of data gathered in improving manufacturing processes through efficiency/quality improvement and cost reduction efforts
• Perform evaluation and root cause and failure analysis on process and systems
• Assist production operators and technician on defect correction through replacement of parts and process optimization

What You need to be successful

• Minimum 3-year relevant experience
• Knowledgeable in Press stamping Machine, Injection Moulding Machine and ancillary equipment
• With knowledge in reading and interpretation of Mechanical drawings and schematics.
• With Knowledge on conventional machines, i.e.  Surface grinder, Lathe machine
• Knowledge in Industrial Electrical System is an advantage.
• Experience in SAP will be beneficial.
• Able to work independently, as well as with the team
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledgeable in QC tools in root cause analysis
• Able to communicate effectively
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English
• Execute best practices and process improvements
