What You'll Do
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Own the marketing budget planning process (A&P – Advertising & Promotion)
- Coordinate with marketing teams to develop annual and rolling forecasts
- Track budget utilization and ensure alignment with financial targets
Marketing Spend Control
- Monitor actual vs. planned marketing expenditures by campaign, channel, and brand
- Identify overspending or underspending risks and recommend corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and financial controls related to spend approvals
Investment & ROI Analysis
- Evaluate marketing campaign ROI, promotions, sponsorships, and media investments
- Perform post-campaign analysis to assess effectiveness and learnings
- Support go/no-go decisions on future marketing investments based on financial impact
Financial Reporting & Insights
- Provide regular reports and dashboards on marketing spend and effectiveness
- Analyze trends, variances, and drivers behind marketing costs
- Deliver insights that support decision-making by senior marketing and finance leaders
Business Partnering
- Act as a trusted advisor to the marketing team on financial implications of strategies
- Collaborate with sales, brand, and trade marketing teams to ensure alignment
- Educate marketers on budget discipline and financial impact awareness
Process Improvement & Compliance
- Support continuous improvement in marketing spend tracking and reporting tools
- Ensure accurate accounting treatment of marketing costs (OPEX vs. CAPEX)
- Participate in audits or internal reviews relating to marketing spend
New Product (NPD) P&L
- Develop and manage P&L models for new product (NPD) by gathering key assumptions from cross-functional team Effectively present and articulate financial outcomes and drivers to the CFO and senior management
- Monitor innovation progress and new product (NPD)performance, conducting root cause analysis to identify key drivers of success or underperformance

What You need to be successful
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or related fields
- 5-10 years of experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or marketing controlling
- Strong analytical, Excel, and financial modeling skills
- Experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Excellent communication and business partnering skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate complex topics clearly
- Experience in FMCG, Retail, or consumer-focused industries is a plus
