Senior Manager Brand Development

The role oversees Marketing and Innovation as a Senior Manager of Suntory brands (mainly Tea+ portfolio) across the region.
This role is centered around driving the growth and strategic positioning of a brand in the market. This involves a combination of strategic planning, marketing expertise, and leadership to ensure that the brand resonates with its target audience, maintains relevance, and achieves long-term business goals.
Job Responsibilities
Brand Management
• Define and develop Tea+ portfolio with strong proposition and value to consumers.
• Support the growth of Tea+ by meeting Sales, Penetration, Profit, and Market share objectives, across the region.
• Grow Tea+ portfolio by capturing the market and sales conditions, brand health, and local insights and by developing strategy including expansion of product portfolio and new variant developments.
• Build core brand communication strategies and concept, and support BU Marketing Team for the execution.
• Deploy branding strategies with expertise and ways of working of Suntory Way innovation model, closely working with Innovation team, Japan Cross Region Development Department and the brand owners across the cross-functional teams.
New Product Development
• Lead innovation/development of Tea+ as the Regional HQ Marketing manager with Marketing Director’s support.
• NPD includes new format /new variant as well as rejuvenation of existing products (liquid, package) / change management (related to formulation, ingredient, manufacturing process etc).
• Understand & capture consumer insights and trends to deliver relevant new innovations to the market under Tea+ portfolio.
• Lead projects as an NPD project team leader working with internal related functions such as R&D, Supply Chain, Legal, Regulatory, Sales, Finance teams, as well as Business Units/JV and HQ. The development includes works with external resources such as Brand/Design creative agencies, Media agencies, and Research agencies.
Brand Planning
• Support to deploy Regional Marketing and Brand strategy into Brand and NPD plan for Tea+ that would be aligned with SBFA managements in line with total annual business goals and mid-term plan.
• Support to make Regional Brand Strategy for Tea+ to be applied to local BU’s AOP with relevance to the local market and consumers by closely working with each local marketing PIC in BU
Budget Control, Daily report & administrative
• Responsible for the budget control with carefully monitoring A&M, development cost, daily report, and administrative work.
Track brand activities and A&M with local Business Units
• Responsible for working closely with respective BUs to capture brand/business condition in each market
Skills and Experience
Relevant Experience:
• Minimum 5 years of brand /product management experience with global FMCG brand
• Experience and Deep Exposure with Vietnam Market & tea category is an advantage
