Senior Manager, Regulatory Affairs

Job responsibilities:

Regulatory Compliance & Licensing - 70%
•    Lead end-to-end product registration and approval processes with the Thai FDA, including formulation, laboratory analysis, product labelling specification (PLS), packaging, claims, and factory licensing.
•    Ensure compliance with other relevant regulations from authorities such as the Excise Department, IEAT, Department of Internal Trade, and Halal certification bodies.
•    Act as the key contact point with regulatory authorities to manage inquiries effectively.
•    Provide expert guidance to cross-functional teams (Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, Quality) to ensure compliance throughout the new product development (NPD) cycle and ongoing operations.
Cross-functional & Strategic Support – 20%
(Partner with internal stakeholders to balance regulatory requirements with business needs, ensuring compliant and timely product launches.
•    Provide risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for regulatory challenges that may impact business operations, innovation, and long-term strategies.
•    Support the Director, Government and Regulatory Affairs with regulatory insights, policy impact analysis, and technical briefing materials for executive and external engagements.
Regulatory Advocacy & Policy Engagement – 10%
•    Monitor and interpret new and emerging regulatory developments that may affect the food and beverage industry.
•    Analyze policy trends and provide proactive recommendations to support company advocacy positions.
•    Build strong networks with local trade associations, scientific organizations, and regulators to ensure effective communication of the industry’s perspective.
•    Contribute to the preparation of scientific justifications, position papers, and industry association inputs in collaboration with the Director.  

Skills and Experience :

•    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, Pharmacy, or related field.
•    5+ years of Regulatory Affairs experience in FMCG, food, or beverage industry, including at least 3 years of direct experience with FDA product registration and approval processes.
•    Strong expertise in Thailand’s food laws (FDA) with working knowledge of regulations under other relevant authorities such as the Excise Department, IEAT, Department of Internal Trade, or Halal certification bodies.
•    Exposure to policy monitoring, industry associations, or regulatory advocacy is preferred.
•    Strong regulatory knowledge with the ability to interpret and apply laws/regulations.
•    Good command of English, both written and spoken.
•    Demonstrated ownership and accountability, with an agile mindset and the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced and evolving regulatory environment.
•    Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively across functions.
