Payroll Specialist (Bangkok)

About your role

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for executing end-to-end payroll processes, administering employee benefits, and managing employee time attendance, overtime calculations, and employee data. This role ensures employees are paid accurately and on time and receive their entitled benefits in accordance with company policies and legal requirements. The position also supports the People Excellence Team in internal and external audits by preparing accurate documentation and ensuring compliance.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare and process payroll data, ensuring accuracy in salary, overtime, bonuses, allowances, adjustments, deductions, and benefits claims.

  • Ensure payroll processing complies with Thai labour laws, tax regulations, and company policies.

  • Maintain and ensure employee records and employee profiles up to date and completed.

  • Verify and submit statutory filings to relevant authorities (e.g., Revenue Department, Social Security Office, Legal Execution Department) accurately and on time.

  • Prepare related statutory reports and payroll related documentation.

  • Administer employee benefits programs including provident fund, social security, group insurance, and other eligible benefits.

  • Coordinate with external partners and vendors on benefit-related matters.

  • Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary records, reports, and explanations.

  • Provide initial advice to employees and line managers on payroll regulations, labour laws, tax matters, benefits policies, and related company governance.

  • Identify and propose opportunities to enhance payroll processes, systems, workflows, and benefits claim procedures.

  • Perform other People & Culture–related tasks as assigned.

What You need to be successful

  • At least 3 years of experience in payroll administration or related HR fields

  • Experience with payroll processing, payroll system / software and familiarity with payroll taxes and regulations

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate with employees about payroll and benefits

  • Experience with HRIS systems and accounting software is a plus

  • Solid knowledge of Thai labour laws, tax laws, and statutory requirements

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
