Modern Trade Team Lead - Small Format (CVS)

Who We Are

About your role

  • Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with business objectives and market opportunities under the responsible channels across key accounts which drive profitable growth with win-win customer partnership. He or She must establish and elevate strategic customer partnership with existing clients and deeply understand account planning, promotion and sales forecasting, 5Ps strategy, and customer service planning to achieve ultimate objectives.
  • Ensure execution excellence and manage sales team with strong engagement and collaboration with field operation team i.e. Brand’s Health Advisor (BHAs) and Merchandisers in SPHP and CVS efficiently and make sure those people both sales and field operation team work collaboratively and contribute to drive offtake at each of store where they are assigned

What You'll Do

 

Strategic Sales Planning

  • Manage team's objectives (under overall sales strategy and consistent with retailers’ directions) and ensure that the team delivers the overall mission and goals, while building mutual business agreement to satisfy target consumer /shopper needs
  • Lead team for the translation of top-down Sales targets into 12-month rolling bottom-up plans in ground account assigned, incorporating overall sales objectives
  • Ensure team to work with Marketing and Trade Marketing in order to translate category plans by retails environment into on-ground execution
  • Develop effective investment strategy, consistent with over all brand/sales strategy and customers direction
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and consumer behavior based on Gemba and offtake data to refine Go-To-Market approach

Channel and Customer Management

  • Ensure team to work with Marketing and Trade Marketing in order to translate category plans by retails environment into on-ground execution
  • Lead customer engagement Calendar in MT&eCom’s way of working by stepping up customer engagement across levels ie Top2Top meeting, Strategic co creating plan, Annual JBP workshop, and Key quarterly business review
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, half year and full year business review

Sales Operation & Execution

  • Ensure team to monitoring 5Ps execution and quickly resolve if any issues by working closely with cross function team
  • Ensure team maintains accurate demand planning and projections vs. plan of sales and spending associated with activities and manages total P&L performance in order to achieve targets
  • Follow company regulations, follow SOP and IBP process, and all implement standard system
  • Other responsibilities as per Company assigned

Budget and P&L Accontability

  • Lead team in preparing and conducting annual negotiations include trading terms and conditions
  • Supervise and control trade terms and conditions with key customers
  • Develops deep insights and actionable recommendations from post-evaluation analyses and ensures learning’s are incorporated to customer strategies and plans
  • Monitor ROI for all initiatives implemented and improve ROI all the time including field operation. Also, this mindset needs to be cascade down to all team members

Team Leadership and development

  • Define the specific roles of individuals within the team, promote teamwork and ensure the team is motivated to deliver results by leading with Suntory leadership spirits
  • Manage team meeting according to the aligned meeting profile in which the team's mission and objectives are reviewed to ensure progress & alignment towards overall company goals, and where specific issues and KPI performance are discussed and action plans refined
  • Build and develop a high-performing sales Provide coaching and feedback ensuring adequate training to team members; evaluating performance and developing IDPs, advising on career paths and providing opportunities for development, acting as a role model and reinforcing desired behaviors

What You need to be successful

  • At least 10 years experiences in Sales of FMCG brand , CVS Key Account Management
  • Proven track record in Sales Management with major retailers
  • Experience of influencing and engaging senior management in own and customer organizations’
  • Experience of leading Sales Professionals and field operation.
  • Experience in negotiating trade term with big accounts
  • Analytical thinking: ability to categorize information to facilitate decision making and strategic planning; assimilate diverse information into usable, analyses both qualitative and quantitative data to provide insight and identify category opportunities.
  • Additional functional experience, preferably in Online sales team, Marketing, Trade Marketing and/or Finance is an advantage
  • Highly analytical and numeracy Skill
  • English is a must. Use English at work & English Presentation
  • Proactive and assertive to represent sales team to join with marketing whenever having new initiatives development.
  • Strong leadership to lead change and challenge status quotation.
