About your role
What You'll Do
- Manage and achieve all team objectives
- Lead team in the translation of top-down Sales strategies into tangible initiatives and commitments by format-type and account
- Ensure team compliance against Perfect Store execution principles
- Lead team in preparing and executing monthly, half-yearly, and annual negotiations with customers include trading terms agreements, JBP’s, and other key meetings in the customer engagement calendar
- Supervise and control trade terms and conditions with all customers
- Lead team to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders such as Marketing and Trade Marketing to translate brand and activation plans by account into execution
- Develop effective investment strategies that are consistent with over all brand/sales strategy and customers direction that maximizes value creation for Suntory, customer and most importantly seikatsusha
- Develop a high performing team by defining the specific roles of individuals within the team, promote teamwork and ensure the team is motivated and engaged to deliver results
- Manage monthly, quarterly, half year and full year business review with key accounts and ensure strong customer engagement at all levels
- Funnel up actionable recommendations based on gemba/shopper insights to cross-functional stakeholders to elevate the quality of our strategies
- Ensure the team maintains accurate demand planning and projections vs. sales and spending. Manage stock returns and stock cover days within target
- Manage total P&L performance in order to achieve targets
- Provide coaching and feedback ensuring adequate training to team members; evaluating performance and developing IDPs, advising on career paths and providing opportunities for development, acting as a role model and reinforcing desired behaviors
- Adhere to all and any company regulations and responsibilities assigned by Suntory
What's in it for you
What You need to be successful
- At least 7-8 years experiences in strategic Modern Trade accounts such as (Lotus’s or Big C)
- Proven track record in Sales Management with major retailers in a mature market or category
- Experience presenting to and engaging senior and top management
- Experience of leading big teams of sales professionals
- Experience in negotiating complex trading terms with Modern Trade accounts
- Analytical thinking: ability to categorize information to facilitate decision making and strategic planning; assimilate diverse information to formulate a hypothesis and/or identify opportunities
- Additional cross-functional experience, such as Marketing, Trade Marketing, Commercial Excellence and/or Finance is an advantage
- A high level of profeciency in English is a must. English is the primary language used internally and all presentations are in English
- Strong leadership to lead change and willingness to challenge the status quo
