About your role
The Group Key Account Manager – BigC, MT Supermarket, Tourist Cluster is responsible for the delivery of all financial and execution targets within BigC Group, MT Supermarkets (MaxValu, TheMall, and Foodland) – reporting to the MT Large Modern Trade Format Lead.
What You'll Do
Business Development & Monitoring
- Leading, preparing and conducting any annual negotiations include trading terms and conditions. Supervise and control trade terms conditions, ensure they are being followed and checks are in place
- Manage monthly, quarterly, half year and full year business review with key accounts and ensure strong customer engagement at all levels. Supervising team in all types of negotiation (new products, shelf management etc) to ensure timely resolution
- Defining and executes trade investment strategy, striving for improved ROI
- Ensuring team works with Marketing and Trade Marketing, translate category plans by retail environment into business plans that deliver team objectives, focusing investment behind demand-generating activities
- Influencing the trade and BHA team to grow sales, take fact-based decisions, and improve service by utilizing new techniques, tools, and information systems (e.g., category management, scanning data etc.)
- Consistently applying category learning and techniques to day-to-day business, exploitation of new opportunities, and using Category knowledge as the context for all “selling stories”
- Ensuring team maintains accurate projections vs. plan of sales and spending associated with activities and manages total group P&L performance in order to achieve targets
Ensuring post-evaluation (through Direct Reports) of all spend types including but not limited to promotions or trade activation
In-Store Execution
- Ensure “winning at the shelf” is a top priority for the team, and that we increase our Share of Shelf relative to our Share of Market at the point of sale in every account
- Strive for Perfect Store excellence
- Develop effective investment strategy, consistent with Retail Environment strategy, customer and shopper insights by provides substantial input in the translation of brand and trade activation plans into Sales targets at the account level
- Provide and share Sales insights in the development of guidelines and category strategies and targets
- Funnel up actionable recommendations based on gemba/shopper insights to cross-functional stakeholders to elevate the quality of our strategies
Team Leadership
- Manage and achieve all team objectives
- Develop a high performing team by defining the specific roles of individuals within the team, promote teamwork and ensure the team is motivated and engaged to deliver results
- Provide coaching and feedback ensuring adequate training to team members; evaluating performance and developing IDPs, advising on career paths and providing opportunities for development, acting as a role model and reinforcing desired behaviors.

What's in it for you
What You need to be successful
- Minimum 7-8 years experience in managing strategic Modern Trade accounts such as (Lotus’s or Big C)
- Possesses proven track record of high performance in Sales Management with major retailers in a mature market or category
- Experience in engaging and influcenging senior and top management via compelling presentation
- Experience in leading teams of sales professional, and managing direct subordinates
- Posseses analytical thinking: ability to categorize information to facilitate decision making and strategic planning; assimilate diverse information into usable, analyses both qualitative and quantitative data to provide insight and identify category opportunities
- Additional cross-functional experience, such as Marketing, Trade Marketing, Commercial Excellence and/or Finance is an advantage
- Posseses strong financial literacy
- A high level of profeciency in English is a must. English is the primary language used internally and all presentations are in English
- Proactive and assertive character with a strong desire to lead change and strive for results
