Financial Planning & Analysis Manager (CLMV)

Job Summary

 

The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager serves as a strategic partner to the Indochina team, driving optimal performance through the creation of high-quality financial plans and forecasts. They assume leadership responsibilities in the Myanmar market and oversee the team's leadership initiatives in selected CLV markets. Responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and modeling, the Manager ensures adherence to company policies while enhancing financial efficiency. They offer decision support by analyzing key performance indicators and advising on advertising and promotion spend management. Additionally, they supervise the Assistant Financial Planning Manager (CLV), ensuring effective task execution and contributing to organizational objectives and sustainable growth.

Job Responsibilities

Budgeting, Forecasting and Modelling

  • Take leadership to consolidate and prepare BU reporting i.e. mid-month forecast and monthly reporting (P&L, B/S, Cash Flow, Capex, other required reports).
  • Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses and capital expenditures.
  • Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance.
  • Oversee and manage the continued development of Budgeting, Financial Forecasting, Mid-Term Plan and Modeling tools.
  • Build financial models / tools to support robust planning and forecasting processes as well as variance analysis.
  • Drive quality financial management reports with accuracy and visibility.

Process Control & Optimization

  • Monitor ATL, BTL and G&A Spending in the market.
  • Develop and continuously optimize financial process in the country.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies.

Decision Support & Advice

  • Advise management on decisions using data analysis to improve performance, minimize risk or capture new opportunities from both within the company and with external environment.
  • Monitor and drive company actual performance vs. LY, Budget, Forecast, KPIs through various analysis. Identify key variances and underlying reasons/root cause.
  • Partner proactively with cross-functional team to identify risks & opportunities on both top and bottom line.  
  • Find mitigation plans for gap closure and follow-up on the implementation of ideas/actions.
  • Provide financial supports/advice to commercial team in managing A&P, Trade Spend, NPDs and Trade promotions.
  • Follow company regulations and all implemented standard system.
  • Other responsibilities as per Company assigned.

People Management and Development

  • Supervise Assistant Financial Planning Manager (CLV) to run Budgeting, Forecasting and Modelling and Process Control & Optimization of CLV.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field
  • Experienced 5– 10 years in Finance in FMCG Business
  • Solid knowledge on end-to-end financial planning processes, good commercial acumen is an advantage 
  • Experienced in leading new processes and drive changes while creating positive working environment
  • Excellent analytical and presentation skills
  • Ability to work across multiple data sources to provide a holistic perspective
  • Good commands in both Thai & English
  • Computer literature in Microsoft Office, especially MS. Excel and PowerPoint. SAP knowledge is a plus.

  • High leadership and maturity
