Category Development Manager - BEC
About your role
Category Development Manager is responsible for driving category growth of EOC & GOLD, Gummy portfolio by transforming data-driven insights including market, shopper and consumer into actionable retail strategies. Also embeds HE category vision across channel and ensure category growth drivers become key resources for critical business planning and customer engagement.
What You'll Do

Drive annual category strategic review by Analyze syndicated data (Nielsen, Kantar, U&A) and shopper insights to identify white-space opportunities and category trends.

Act as a subject matter expert for retail partners, providing objective recommendations to improve the performance of the entire category, Shelf space, in-store strategy.

Work with marketing to identify "white space" opportunities and lead the category-specific launch strategy for all new innovations.

Project future category performance and set KPIs for growth, penetration, and frequency.

Lead Category vision playbook & category captaincy guideline including assortment, price, shelf space and instore activation.

Ensure integration of category strategy and growth drivers into AOP & IBP business cycles.

Work collaboratively with cross functions including Marketing, Sales, PMO, Finance to ensure category growth has been driven according to company’s direction.

Own the Category Scorecard, tracking KPIs such as Market Share, category growth, Sales value, competitor landscape.

Lead on innovation including selling story, where to play, assortment guideline, shelf placement, volume assumption, forecast and customer presentation.

Support data, marketing & brand communication for commercial team for business review

Sharing and Leverage category growth driver, category strategy to joint business plan with customer.
What You need to be successful

Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

At least 5 years of direct experience in Trade Marketing & Category development for Modern Trade and GT channel.

Strategic thinking with a broad business perspective.

Strong planning, organizational skills, and a creative, growth-focused mindset.

Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills.

Experience in category management and shopper/customer marketing with key retailers.

Ability to function in a fast-paced, dynamic organization.

Story telling skill : the ability to influence internal stakeholders and external buyers through persuasive, data-backed presentations.

Commercial Mindset: Strong understanding of product P&L, trade math, and the operational realities of the retail floor.
