Category & Channel Development Director

Job Summary

  • Proactively monitor and analyse performance and trends within category to identify, highlight issue and opportunities that supports the business to Sales team.
  • Responsible to define and lead Category & Channel strategies and growth agenda
  • Lead on Shopper Insight, Trade Marketing and Perfect Store process

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of channel strategies ensuring alignment with overall business goals
  • Drive category growth and initiatives in each trade channel
  • Lead the development of category visions and strategies; supporting sales teams in deploying these visions for building business strategies with key retail customers.
  • Lead category management project with key customers
  • Conduct shopper understanding research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and challenges of the categories or channel.
  • Assess category performance by using shipment data, scanned data, and proactively develop action plan to facilitate the sales growth.
  • Apply shopper and trade insights to develop recommendations for Picture of Success: assortment, pricing, promotion, and placement by retail environment.
  • Ensure perfect store process and build perfecto store understanding across functions 
  • Collaborate on innovation/Pack price pipeline business cases with cross functional team
  • Manage the implementation of new product initiatives in market with impactful execution plan
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of category and channel strategies.
  • Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team, fostering their growth and ensuring their success
  • Responsible for shopper research and trade marketing budget to support in market activities
  • Conduct pre and post analysis of nationwide promotions
  • Work closely with marketing, and sales teams to leverage insights and ensure consistency between brand and channel initiatives.
  • Work with regional to leverage best practices and develop best in class category and channel strategies roadmap for SBFT
  • Support sales engagement activities leading with good communication and align message with all contacts
  • Follow company regulations and all implemented standard system.
  • Other responsibilities as per Company assigned.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
  • At least 8 years of Business experience in Trade Marketing and Sales Lead
  • Experience in category management and shopper/customer marketing
  • Ability to think and scope strategic plan from a broad business perspective
  • Strong executor, accurate, stress resistant, creative, entrepreneur with growth mindset
  • Strong analytical skill
  • Ability to coach, motivate and build high performing team
  • Good interpersonal Skill, can work effectively with others
  • Good command of written and spoken English
