Associate Director, Product Cost and Productivity

Job Responsibilities :

Business Partnering:
•    Partner with Procurement and Supply Chain to drive business performance, providing insightful analysis of product cost, identify risks and opportunities, develop mitigation plans for gap closing, and ensure implementation of actions
•    Work closely with Procurement on commodity price trends and hedging strategies to manage price volatility, providing detailed analysis of material price and suggest cost saving opportunities/suppliers’ contract price negotiation 
•    Coordinate with Supply Chain (Production) to analyze material usage and production impacts on costs, such as production MOQ, etc.
•    Support Commercial Finance on cost estimation and suggest cost optimization for NPD
•    Benchmarking with other countries or other business units and recommend actionable improvements.

Cost saving management:  
•    Lead Productivity/Cost Saving of the company, driving achievement of cost saving target, work closely with cross-functions to identify saving opportunities

Financial planning and analysis:
•    Manage Budget/Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and monthly Forecast of product cost i.e. by brand by SKU  
•    Drive data quality and forecast accuracy, ensure continuous improvement of product cost information and source data, both internal and external
•    Actively monitor and analyze actual product cost vs. plan and vs. forecast, identify variances, key drivers and action plan
•    Drive simplification/automation and effectiveness of data management

People management:
•    Supervise team member, ensure succession planning & people development

Skills and Experience :

•    BBA and Master degree in Finance or Accounting from reputable university
•    Relevant work experience in Finance, preferably FMCG and Manufacturing exposure
•    Strong communication and people skills with business partnering mindset, be able to influence management and cross-functions
•    Strong analytical skill, be able to translate data into recommendations/actions
•    Solid understanding of manufacturing cost structure and cost drivers
•    Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, be able to manage priorities
•    Experience in budget/forecast process and variance analysis
•    Be able to travel to plants regularly to meet partners and to understand business situations and problems
•    Good written and spoken English
•    Effective Presentation skill
•    Microsoft Office skill
•    Familiar with Power BI and SAP
