Associate Director, Category Finance
Job Summary :
This role is part of Commercial Finance team, being the key business partner to marketing and category development teams in driving the great business performance of the assigned brands and category.
Category Finance Manager is responsible for leading brand dimension of financial planning and outlook projection, analyzing and partnering with cross-functional teams to improve brand and category performance. Support business decision making in brand and category execution of new product innovation and strategic commercial projects through commercial acumen and strategic thinking.
Responsibilities :
- Leading the Category Finance in all brands’ financial aspects
- Responsible for driving great performance and leading the outlook projection of all SPBT brands, consisting of PepsiCo and Suntory portfolios
- Support brand and category vision and roadmap. Develop brand P&L outlook projection and Annual Operating Plan and 3-year Mid-Term Plan. Driving strategic thinking into excellent execution.
- Oversee and analyze monthly performance of brand vs those plans and provide important insights that will drive the business success, identify risks & opportunities, and work collaboratively with brand and cross-functional team to improve brand performance to meet financial goals
- Oversee and own the financial forecast of Sales Volume, Advertising and Marketing Cost (A&M). Providing financial justification and optimization analysis and ensuring accurate delivery of result as per monthly financial forecast.
- Build business case and lead financial analysis for new product innovation projects and strategic commercial initiatives to ensure financial viability and support decision making
- Fully connecting with key stakeholders and support in any related operational concerns. Lead the issue resolution and/or workaround; Supervise and coach direct report
- Addresses challenges as opportunities for improvement and constantly seeks ways to improve processes
- Support in implementation of business application, automation, simplification process to drive efficiency and productivity
Skills and Experience :
• Bachelor’s degree or above in finance related field, with 3-5 years in Finance Manager position with people management exposure
• Experience in commercial finance, financial planning, FP&A or business partnering roles, preferably FMCG exposure
• Solid technical/functional knowledge in Finance and Accounting
• Strong analytical skill
• Business partnering mindset to work effectively with cross functions
• Strong communication and people skills. Able to influence across functions
• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and focus on priorities
• Good written and spoken English
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly on Excel. Familiar with SAP and Power BI is a plus.
