About your role

To lead and manage all aspects of plant operations, ensuring the delivery of business objectives through operational excellence, compliance, people development, and strategic leadership. The Plant Director is accountable for creating a safe, efficient, and ethical working environment that supports sustainable growth and long-term value creation. 

What You'll Do

1. Operational Leadership
- Ensure production volume meets demand forecasts (AOP, M0, W0) through effective planning and execution.
- Guarantee product quality and food safety in line with internal standards and external regulations.
- Maintain zero lost time incidents across all operational areas.
- Support the launch of new products, packaging, and capacity expansions as per business plans.
 
2. Risk, Compliance, and Control Environment
- Ensure full legal compliance in Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) and Food Safety across all operations.
- Lead implementation of Global Control Standards (GCS) to enhance regulatory compliance and operational integrity.
- Proactively identify and mitigate operational, financial, and reputational risks.
- Monitor and manage the control environment to foster transparency, ethical behavior, and accountability
 
3. Performance & Efficiency Optimization
- Drive improvements in yield, OEE, TEEP, VMC, and FMC to meet or exceed AOP targets.
- Lead productivity and cost-saving initiatives, including packaging optimization and energy efficiency.
- Oversee Capex project execution for growth, sustainability, and quality enhancement.
- Ensure warehouse and DC operations meet safety, quality, and I2C compliance standards.
 
4. Sustainability & Innovation
- Deliver water, energy, and CO₂ reduction initiatives aligned with AOP/MTP goals.
- Champion digital transformation and innovation to modernize operations and improve decision-making.
- Support continuous improvement through data-driven insights and technology adoption.
 
5. Culture & People Development
- Foster a safety-first culture and drive action plans (EES) to strengthen employee engagement scores.
- Promote a healthy, inclusive, and compliant working environment across the plant.
- Collaborate with P&C and OE team to address capability gaps and define workforce planning.
- Coach and develop direct reports, ensuring robust succession planning and talent retention.
- Lead cultural change initiatives that support performance, accountability, and growth.
 
6. Strategic & Financial Stewardship
- Act as a key liaison with corporate leadership, external stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure financial stewardship through budget adherence, cost control, and ROI-focused decision-making.
- Align plant operations with broader business strategies and market responsiveness.
 
7. Other tasks assigned by Line Manager.

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or related field (Master’s preferred).

- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

- Proven track record in managing large-scale plant operations, including production, quality, safety, and compliance."

- Operational Excellence: Strong knowledge of production planning, OEE, yield, and continuous improvement methodologies.

- Compliance & Risk Management: Deep understanding of EHS, food safety regulations, and internal control standards.

- Strategic Thinking: Ability to align plant operations with broader business goals and market dynamics.

- Leadership & People Development: Experience in coaching, talent development, and succession planning.

- Financial Acumen: Strong budget management and ROI analysis skills.

- Digital & Innovation Mindset: Familiarity with smart manufacturing, automation, and data-driven decision-making."
