Craft your future with Suntory Oceania, a new $3b multi-beverage partnership between Suntory Global Spirits and Suntory Beverage & Food. Our market-leading portfolio will have over 40 brands, including Jim Beam® and Maker's Mark® Bourbon, Hibiki® Japanese Whisky, Canadian Club® Whisky, -196, V Energy, Maximus, and Suntory BOSS Coffee. As One Suntory, we will be positioned as the fourth largest beverage player in the region, ready to ignite the category, creating more beverage moments from sunrise to sunset. The Opportunity

This role will champion quality performance across Suntory Oceania this will include both portfolios (non alc and alc) across Australia and NZ. This is a big impact role where you will be able to help drive the high quality of our products.

What you’ll be doing

  • Maintain and update sensory technical standards
  • Develop a sensory program that includes taint detection, process tasting, product release, product profiling and shelf life
  • Carry out sensory training program including cross panel calibration and advanced taster panel
  • Support supply chain in complex sensory problem solving
  • Review and implement sensory improvement to support us achieving best in class
  • Partner with Pepsi and Suntory Global spirits and report on key KPI’s
  • Support APAC technical team on regional initiatives

What's in your toolkit?

  • Experience in a similar role – ideally within the food and beverage industry
  • Strong sensory and auditing experience
  • Bachelor of Science, Food Science or relevant experience
  • A continuous improvement mindset – you will help us to reach our goal of best in class
  • Previous experience carrying out sensory training to large groups  
  • Ability to influence a broad range of stakeholders to drive improvements
  • Experience leading a beverage manufacturing line or facility
