The Opportunity
Working as the R&D Laboratory Technician you will be an integral part of the team. The R&D laboratory Technician ensures the R&D Centre operates smoothly, supports lab work, and meets health and safety requirements. The role involves managing various labs and storage areas, including the Creation Lab, Packaging Lab, Transport Testing Lab, Pilot Plant, and more.
Key Responsibilities
- R&D Centre Management: Ensure the centre and equipment are operational, safe, and maintained. Manage scheduling of Pilot Plant use, execute analytical calibrations, and maintain hygiene standards.
- Product Development Support: Provide lab support for product development, including batch preparation and pilot plant runs.
- Administration: Manage invoices, liaise with external suppliers, order stationery, and support procurement processes.
- Raw Materials and Consumables: Maintain stock levels of raw materials, packaging materials, gas supplies, and chemicals.
- Health, Safety & Wellbeing: Review activities for safety, identify hazards, and report incidents.
- Compliance: Operate in accordance with Suntory Oceania policies and procedures.
What's in your toolkit?
- Qualification in Food Technology or Similar
- Lab experience especially within FMCG is ideal.
- Strong Communication Skills – Oral & Written
