Execution Excellence Lead - NZ

Requisition ID:  11382

Who are we?

Craft your future with Suntory Oceania, a new $3b multi-beverage partnership between Suntory Global Spirits and Suntory Beverage & Food. Underpinned by quality, craftsmanship and a strong sense of purpose, our exciting new partnership will be powered by two manufacturing sites, five distribution centres and more than 1500 Suntorians across Australia and New Zealand.

Our market-leading portfolio will have over 40 brands, including Jim Beam® and Maker's Mark® Bourbon, Hibiki® Japanese Whisky, Canadian Club® Whisky, -196, V Energy, Maximus, and Suntory BOSS Coffee. As One Suntory, we will be positioned as the fourth largest beverage player in the region, ready to ignite the category, creating more beverage moments from sunrise to sunset. Together, we will bring the best of Suntory to Oceania.

The Opportunity:

This is a high‑influence, high‑visibility role that connects strategy to action — ensuring our brands show up brilliantly in every store, venue and outlet across New Zealand.

You will lead the end‑to‑end Execution Excellence Ways of Working (WoW) for NZ, orchestrating the 14‑step Strategy‑to‑Execution process and embedding the four‑stage Perfect Store program (PiCoS – Metrics – Routines – Capability). You’ll partner closely with Marketing, Sales, Category, Shopper, Field & Planning teams to lift execution standards and performance across the entire NZ commercial ecosystem.

What you'll lead & deliver:

  • Execution Excellence & Perfect Store: Lead the full WoW across MTP → AOP → Channel Plans. Build and align PiCoS, Core Range and planograms with Category, Shopper and Channel teams. Set and govern execution KPIs to drive visibility, accountability and sustained improvement.
  • Channel Execution Across NZ: Embed Perfect Store standards across Modern Trade (Grocery/Oils), Traditional Trade (Route/OTG/Food Service) and Licensed (On/Off Premise). Deliver ongoing uplift in PSS performance, with a targeted +2pts improvement annually in non‑licensed channels.
  • Governance & Commercial Rhythm: Integrate Execution Excellence into MTP, AOP, Channel Plans, RTMx, SMAP and monthly/quarterly commercial forums. Keep execution priorities clear, aligned, resourced and progressing across cross‑functional teams.
  • Cross‑Functional Leadership: Connect Marketing, Commercial, Category, Shopper, Field and Planning teams to ensure briefs, activation priorities and incentives are aligned. Drive seamless strategy‑to‑shelf delivery and shared accountability.
  • Digital Enablement: Leverage TRAX, MYSH and SFA tools to track coverage, compliance and activation. Collect store‑level evidence and convert insights into performance actions alongside Digital Sales and Sales Mobility teams.
  • Assets & Investment Governance: Lead NZ asset strategy across coolers, chillers, permanent displays and post‑mix. Build CAPEX/OPEX envelopes aligned to ASO, VPO, revenue priorities and ROI expectations.
  • Performance Tracking & Reward: Partner with Sales Performance to track, report and recognise execution excellence using TRAX data, distribution scans, sales signals and defined metrics/frequency.

What you bring:

  • Prior experience in Commercial, Sales, or Trade Marketing within FMCG or Beverage.
  • Experience across Modern, Traditional and Licensed channels.
  • Proven leadership of Perfect Store or comparable retail execution programs.
  • Strong analytical, numerical and problem‑solving capability.
  • Highly collaborative communicator with strong influencing ability.
  • Digital fluency with TRAX, SFA/Mobility and execution data tools.
  • Autonomous, process‑oriented and improvement‑focused.

What's in it for you?

  • Grow your career – we like to promote from within and have incredible learning and development opportunities around the world.
  • Drive transformation and innovation in a future-fit operating model.
  • Generous incentive program for all of our permanent employees.
  • An inclusive parental leave policy for both primary and secondary caregivers.
  • Birthday leave – enjoy a day off to celebrate your birthday.
  • Gradual return to work to help you transition back from parental leave.
  • Work in a culture that values diversity, collaboration and growth.
  • Flexible working – flexible hours and hybrid working.
  • We are committed to giving back to our communities, so we provide you with volunteer leave to do so.
