We're looking for a Credit Controller to join our high-performing Finance team in New Zealand on a fixed-term contract through to 31 March 2027.

Based in Manukau, with an exciting move to our new Auckland CBD offices planned for November, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business and gain exposure to some of the world's most recognised beverage and spirits brands.

As a Credit Controller, you'll play a key role in managing customer accounts, minimising credit risk, and supporting healthy cash flow across the business. You'll take ownership of a diverse portfolio while building strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders across New Zealand

This role offers valuable exposure across mid to back-end ledgers, giving you the opportunity to broaden your Accounts Receivable expertise through collections, reconciliations, credit risk management, account maintenance, reporting, escalations, and process improvement activities.

You'll also gain unique exposure to the liquor and FMCG industries, supporting some of the most iconic brands in the market.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing customer accounts to ensure payments are received within agreed trading terms
• Monitoring aged debt and achieving collection targets across multiple ageing buckets
• Managing accounts on stop and proactively mitigating credit risk
• Reviewing and approving new credit applications within company guidelines
• Preparing overdue debt reporting and supporting collection strategies
• Reconciling customer accounts and resolving account discrepancies
• Building strong relationships with customers while maintaining a firm and professional collections approach
• Liaising with Sales, Logistics, Customer Service and Finance teams across Australia and New Zealand
• Escalating overdue accounts where required and managing collection processes through to resolution
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the Credit team

We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering great outcomes for both customers and the business.

You will ideally bring:

• Previous experience in Credit Control, Accounts Receivable, Collections, or a similar finance role
• Experience managing high-volume customer ledgers
• Strong reconciliation and analytical skills
• Intermediate Excel capability
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
• A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
• Confidence in having commercial conversations while maintaining strong customer relationships

Experience working within FMCG, beverage, wholesale distribution, or liquor industries will be highly regarded, as will experience with SAP.
