We're looking for a commercially minded Commercial Analyst - Logistics to join our Finance team and partner closely with our Logistics function across Australia and New Zealand. This is a 12 month fixed-term opportunity. 

 

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining financial analysis with business partnering to influence decision-making and drive operational performance. You'll play a key role in providing insights that help manage one of our largest supply chain cost bases while supporting strategic initiatives, continuous improvement and commercial decision-making.

 

Working alongside Logistics leaders, you'll help bring the numbers to life through meaningful analysis, transparent reporting and actionable recommendations that improve performance across transport, warehousing and freight operations.

 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering with Logistics leaders to provide financial insights and commercial support
  • Delivering timely and accurate reporting across logistics costs, freight performance and cost-per-case metrics
  • Supporting forecasting, budgeting and Integrated Business Planning processes
  • Analysing cost drivers, variances and operational performance trends across ANZ logistics operations
  • Developing financial models and reporting tools that improve visibility and decision-making
  • Assisting with business cases, capital investment analysis and other commercial initiatives
  • Identifying opportunities to optimise cost performance and drive continuous improvement
  • Contributing to a high-performing Supply Chain Finance team through collaboration and knowledge sharing.

About you | Nō hea koe

You are naturally curious, commercially astute and enjoy turning complex data into clear business insights. You build strong relationships with stakeholders, ask thoughtful questions and are confident influencing decisions through data and analysis.

 

You'll bring:

  • A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
  • Experience in a commercial, financial analysis or business partnering role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience working with ERP systems
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
  • The ability to work collaboratively across multiple functions and build trusted relationships.

 

It would be advantageous if you also have:

  • CA or CPA qualification (or currently working towards one)
  • Experience within FMCG, manufacturing, logistics or supply chain environments
  • SAP experience
  • Power BI capability
  • Experience building financial models and business reporting solutions.
