We have an exciting opportunity for a Channel Category Manager to join our Commercial Excellence team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

 

The purpose of this role is to become the category partner of choice for our key on-the-go (OTG) retailers by building strategic, category-centric relationships based on thought leadership, a customer-first approach, and exceptional insight translation.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building customer-led category partnerships with key retailers in the on-the-go channel
  • Delivering Category and Business Reviews with key stakeholders
  • Analysing existing accounts to identify opportunities to significantly improve our current trading position
  • Acting as a business partner to the Commercial Team (you will be the SME for on-the-go)

You enjoy problem-solving, navigating ambiguity, and approaching challenges with a positive mindset. You thrive in a close-knit team within a global organisation, where you can work autonomously while collaborating with retailers and cross-functional internal teams.

 

You naturally build strong relationships and excel at storytelling when translating data into actionable insights. You’re passionate about leveraging data and finding effective ways to help commercial teams retain and grow both existing and new clients.

 

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:

  • Experience in Category Management, ideally within FMCG or retail
  • Strong relationship-building skills across multiple business levels
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Organisation and planning abilities, with a commitment to deadlines and timeframes
  • The ability to use storytelling to frame data into meaningful insights
  • Initiative and enthusiasm
