What is the opportunity? | He aha te kōwhiringa?

This is not a sit back and manage from a spreadsheet brand role. This is frontline brand building across two of the most iconic names in performance and energy: Gatorade and Rockstar

As Brand & Activation Manager – Gatorade & Rockstar, you’ll own the end-to-end brand journey, from shaping strategy and spotting culture-led opportunities, through to bringing bold activations to life in market. You’ll balance big brand thinking with flawless execution, working closely with agencies, customer teams and global partners to make sure our brands don’t just show up… they stand out.

You’ll:

  • Lead annual brand and activation plans that translate ambition into impact
  • Turn insights into ideas, and ideas into campaigns people actually notice
  • Partner with agencies to deliver best-in-class creative, media and experiences
  • Bring brand plans to life in-store, on-field and in culture
  • Manage budgets, track performance and optimise as you go
  • Be the day-to-day guardian of brand equity, consistency and growth

In short you’ll be the engine that turns strategy into sweat, noise and results.

Gatorade is a challenger - it plays to win. We’re unapologetically focused on performance, innovation and backing those who push their own limits – from elite athletes to everyday legends. This role is about challenging the status quo, finding new ways to show up in sport and culture, and keeping Gatorade relevant, credible and unmistakable in everything we do.

And then there’s Rockstar – youthful, bold, and built for the moments that demand energy, flavour and attitude.

You’ll sit at the intersection of sport, culture and brand – including working on our partnership with the One NZ Warriors, one of Aotearoa’s most iconic sporting teams, helping bring that relationship to life through meaningful activation and fan-first thinking.

If you’ve ever wanted to see your ideas on the field, in the stands, in-store and in hands across the country – this is that role.

About you | Nō hea koe

You’re a confident brand operator who combines strong marketing fundamentals with commercial maturity and an action‑oriented mindset. You’re comfortable navigating complexity, working with partners, and rolling up your sleeves to get things done.

You’ll bring:

  • Proven FMCG brand activation experience (marketing or shopper preferred)
  • Strong brand acumen with the ability to grow and execute brands effectively
  • Experience leading NPD and innovation gate processes
  • Solid commercial and customer understanding, including P&L and trade spend
  • Confidence managing multiple stakeholders across sales, category and partners
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to create compelling presentations
  • A proactive, delivery‑focused approach with strong attention to detail
  • Experience working with third‑party partners or global brand owners
  • Exposure to Nielsen/IRI/Quantum data

If you’re not an expert in everything listed – that’s okay. We’re equally interested in how you align with our values, your potential, and the unique perspective you’ll bring to Suntory.

If you’re not an expert in all of these areas, don’t worry! A lot of what we look for is how you would align with our values and your ability to utilise your unique skills and experience.

What’s in it for you? I He aha te mea e whiwhi ai koe?

Working at Suntory Oceania isn’t just a job – it’s a career you can genuinely grow. As part of the global Suntory Group, you’ll have access to standout learning and development opportunities, global career pathways, and the chance to learn from some seriously talented people. We’re proud of our vibrant culture and the people who bring it to life every day.

Alongside being part of a great team, you’ll enjoy a competitive salary, a day off on your birthday, the opportunity to earn a generous incentive, and a market-leading parental leave policy. There’s real scope to stretch, build new skills and work across the business as your career evolves.

We believe hybrid working helps us do our best work, so when we’re not working from home, you’ll find us at our Wiri offices until Q4, before moving into our brand-new Auckland CBD office – think harbour views, an in-house bar, and plenty of modern, collaborative spaces designed for creative thinking and connection.
