ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Sustainability Manager, you will lead the delivery of our sustainability strategy and engagement for our market EECM-BNL (Europe Export Commercial Markets and Benelux). You will focus on nutrition, packaging, and climate, integrating sustainability into the company’s overall strategy and operations. In this role you will lead and supervise decarbonization projects, conduct technical and economic analyses, and propose initiatives aligned with GHG emissions targets. You will be responsible for the internal governance process, improving systems to track and report on sustainability metrics, and holding markets and functions accountable for delivering plans. Additionally, you will develop and lead the partner engagement strategy with licensees on decarbonization and other ESG-related issues. You will also establish a controlled data flow for ESG disclosures and implement the annual ESG report in line with CSRD reporting requirements. Staying abreast of the latest sustainability trends and best practices, you will identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance the company’s sustainability performance.
REQUIREMENTS
• Degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
• Proven experience in sustainability management with a strong understanding of ESG principles
• Ability to think critically, analyze, and effectively break down complex issues
• Excellent data analysis and presentation skills
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
• Experience in community engagement and CSR activities is highly desirable
• Good understanding of EU policy and issues relevant to our sector
• Proficiency with data management tools and software
• Effective personal time management and planning skills
• Team player with good social and communication skills, including empathy, personal tact, and integrity
• Capable of working efficiently, meeting deadlines, and handling ambiguity and stress
• Strong written and oral communications in English; French or Dutch language skills are a benefit
