What You'll Do

In this role, you will take ownership of sustainability governance and performance across the EECM-Benelux region, ensuring that sustainability priorities are effectively embedded into the business. 

You will: 

  • Lead the delivery of our sustainability strategy in the markets, focussing on nutrition, packaging and climate. Support the integration of sustainability into the company’s overall strategy and operations 
  • Lead and supervise decarbonization projects; conduct relevant technical and economic analyses, share best practice and insights, identify and propose initiatives aligned with GHG emissions targets to the relevant decision bodies. Supporting the coordination of the initiatives, timing, results, cost, impact. Monitor progress from plan to execution.  
  • Be directly responsible for the internal governance process; improve systems to track and report on sustainability metrics, monitoring the progress against our sustainability roadmap, and holding markets and functions accountable for delivering plans and capturing value.  
  • Develop and lead the partner engagement strategy with licensees on decarbonization and other ESG related issues.  
  • Lead the establishment of a controlled data flow for ESG disclosures in collaboration with the EA&S team and the implementation of the annual ESG report in line with CSRD reporting requirements. 
  • Develop comprehensive reports and compelling presentations to highlight achievements, areas for improvement, insights, key takeaways, and recommendations to educate and train employees on sustainability practices and environmental stewardship and to inform leadership decision-making.

What You need to be successful

  • Degree in sustainability, environmental science, business, engineering, or a related field  
  • Proven experience in sustainability, ESG, or related roles with a focus on governance and KPI management  
  • Experience working with Scope 3 carbon accounting and reporting and engaging external partners 
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience in data management and reporting 
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across functions such as procurement, legal, supply chain, and marketing 
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to simplify complex topics
