Health & Safety Lead

Requisition ID:  11448

Who We Are

Suntory Beverage & Food Europe is part of the Suntory Group, one of the leading and most innovative drink companies worldwide.

Our uniqueness lies in our culture, a distinctive blend of Japanese heritage and European roots, and our people, who are driven by our bold and playful Yatte Minahare spirit.

Shinjiro Torii shared his ambition, passion and entrepreneurship with other founders, who like Torii were true pioneers of their time. They all had a thirst for challenge, an obsession for people and a mindset of sustainable growth, and together, they contributed to making what Suntory Beverage & Food Europe is today.

About your role

As the Health & Safety Lead for the EECM‑BNL region, you will be the primary point of contact for all physical safety matters across our Sales Force and our different Office environments. You will guide senior leaders, frontline teams, and internal partners in building a strong Zero Harm culture, ensuring compliance with evolving regulations, and driving continuous improvement. Your work will directly shape how safety is understood, practiced, and embedded across the business.

What You'll Do

  • Ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal health & safety regulations, as well as internal SBFE standards and procedures.
  • Develop, update, and maintain BU documentation to support regulatory and internal compliance.
  • Conduct risk assessments for Sales Force and Office environments and design effective mitigation strategies.
  • Create, plan, and maintain emergency response plans for potential incidents.
  • Lead incident reporting and investigations, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
  • Champion the Zero Harm program by coordinating training, inductions, and safety routines.
  • Promote a strong safety culture through communication, coaching, and collaboration with Safety Ambassadors and internal trainers.
  • Prepare data, insights, and analysis for governance meetings, supporting Sales Directors in presenting safety performance and action plans.
  • Monitor HS performance, analyse trends, and contribute to SBFE forums to support continuous improvement and standards updates.
  • Build effective partnerships with internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies, contractors, and suppliers.

What's in it for you

  • A highly visible role with direct impact on the safety culture and operational excellence of the BU.
  • The opportunity to influence senior leaders and shape strategic safety direction.
  • Autonomy to drive initiatives, challenge the status quo, and introduce best‑practice solutions.
  • Collaboration with a diverse network of Sales, QEHS, EHS, and People & Culture teams across the region.
  • A dynamic environment where no two days are the same, with exposure to evolving legal landscapes and continuous learning.
  • A role that supports your professional growth in safety leadership, governance, and cross‑functional influence.

What You need to be successful

  • Experience in Sales Force roles (field, key account, or training), or a safety background in Supply Chain, or a bachelor’s degree in Ergonomics, Health & Safety, or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence without authority across all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience presenting to executive leadership and external regulatory agencies.
  • Proactive, autonomous, and solution‑driven mindset.
  • Strong analytical capability, including advanced root‑cause determination skills.
  • Fluency in English, Dutch, and French (Polish is a plus).
  • Ability to navigate complex and changing regulatory environments while driving continuous improvement.
