ABOUT YOUR ROLE
As a GL Accountant, on a 1-year contract, at Suntory you will ensure that the accounting for our legal entity and other group entities is accurate and timely. You will report financial statements to internal and external stakeholders and provide support for general ledger queries and projects. Your main responsibilities will include:
• Executing monthly closing for SIL, OSH BV, and related entities (including rep offices)
• IFRS16 accounting
• Performing intercompany reconciliation
• Liaising with AR & Treasury Managers and accounting teams from other entities
• Preparing balance sheet reconciliation
• Daily processing/updating of banks
• Ensuring proper management of quarterly and yearly audits
• Timely invoicing of financial debit and credit notes
• Supporting the AP team with selected vendors, specific queries, and clearings
• Resolving complex accounting issues
• Ensuring compliance with corporate accounting policies (IFRS)
• Assisting in the preparation of local statutory financial statements (UK and NL GAAP)
• Proactively supporting the professionalization and streamlining of processes and procedures

WHAT I NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL?
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• A Bachelor or Master degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Economics
• Relevant working experience within financial accounting in a complex environment
• Profound and up-to-date accounting knowledge and experience
• Strong analytical skills and a quick learner
• Experience with SAP (preferred)
• An open, trustworthy personality, able to deal with people of different backgrounds and cultures
• Team player, result-driven with good communication skills
• A proactive self-starter attitude
• Fluency in verbal and written English
