The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a National Account Manager – Independents to lead a portfolio of key Victorian-based licensed customers and play a critical role in driving sustainable, profitable growth.

 

This is a high-impact, end-to-end account leadership role where you’ll own strategic partnerships with major independent customers. You’ll combine commercial acumen, data-led insight and standout relationship building to unlock growth opportunities and deliver best-in-class execution.

 

Working with sophisticated customers, you’ll bring a true partnership mindset; using insights, performance analysis and joint planning to deliver mutual success.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Owning end-to-end account management, including Joint Business Plans (JBPs), promotional strategy, and commercial performance.
  • Leading customer performance reviews to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
  • Using scan data and insights to shape strategy and influence customer decisions.
  • Leading terms negotiations and ensuring strong commercial outcomes.
  • Acting as the voice of the customer internally, influencing cross-functional teams.
  • Mobilising internal stakeholders across sales, marketing, and supply to deliver execution excellence.
  • Managing promotional planning, investment and ROI to drive sustainable.

What we're looking for:

This role is ideal for either an established Key Account Manager ready to step up, or an experienced National Account Manager looking for a fresh challenge.

 

We’re open to diverse backgrounds across FMCG and would particularly value experience in spirits or RTDs to complement our team mix.

 

Above all, you’ll be someone who thrives on building relationships, using insight to influence, and delivering results in a dynamic environment.

 

You will have:

 

  • Proven experience in account management within FMCG (liquor experience advantageous, not essential).
  • Strong analytical capability: confident using data to tell a story and drive decisions.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills – this is critical in a highly social, partnership-led environment.
  • Experience leading JBPs, negotiations, and commercial planning.
  • A proactive, curious mindset with the ability to challenge, influence and think differently.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across both internal and external environments.
