Territory Manager - Licensed
Who are we?
Craft your future with Suntory Oceania, a new $3b multi-beverage partnership between Suntory Global Spirits and Suntory Beverage & Food. Underpinned by quality, craftsmanship and a strong sense of purpose, our exciting new partnership will be powered by two manufacturing sites, five distribution centres and more than 1500 Suntorians across Australia and New Zealand.
Our market-leading portfolio has over 40 brands, including Jim Beam® and Maker's Mark® Bourbon, Hibiki® Japanese Whisky, Canadian Club® Whisky, -196, V Energy, Maximus, and Suntory BOSS Coffee. As One Suntory, we will be positioned as the fourth largest beverage player in the region, ready to ignite the category, creating more beverage moments from sunrise to sunset. Together, we will bring the best of Suntory to Oceania.
The Opportunity:
As a Territory Manager, you’ll be the face of Suntory Oceania in the Adelaide CBD and North Adelaide territory, with a strong focus on the on-premise channel (95%), including nightclubs, bars, and restaurants, and a small number of bottle shops. You’ll drive sales, grow our premium spirits portfolio, manage assets, and uncover new business opportunities.
This is a hands-on role where your energy, relationship-building skills, and commercial acumen will shine. You’ll need to be flexible—comfortable walking into a nightclub to talk RTDs, and equally confident discussing premium Scotch or Bourbon with a high-end venue.
What You'll Do:
- Achieve sales targets and grow product distribution across your territory.
- Identify and convert new business opportunities through cold calling and product presentations.
- Execute promotional activity and ensure compliance across all accounts.
- Manage Suntory refrigeration and assets to ROI guidelines.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve issues promptly.
- Implement category management initiatives and maintain planogram standards.
What you bring:
We’re on the lookout for a dynamic individual to help us hit the ground running! Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Premium Spirits Experience (Mandatory): Deep knowledge and passion for premium spirits is essential.
- On-Premise Understanding: Strong familiarity with the licensed trade, especially on-premise venues.
- RTD Sales Flexibility: Ability to sell across categories—from RTDs to premium spirits.
- Self-Motivation & Results-Driven: Ability to work autonomously and consistently hit targets.
- Relationship Builder: Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships.
- Communication & Negotiation: Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to influence.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using digital tools and systems (e.g. Microsoft Office, Outlook).
- Valid Driver's License: A full driver’s license is essential.
Note: Licensed beverage industry experience is highly valued—even if not in a sales role.
