(Finance) Planning Manager - Procurement and Costing

About your role

- Finance partner for Direct Procurement (raw material, packaging material) to ensure availability for production and supply chain, drive Productivity and Efficiency
- Financial Budgeting & Performance Measurement for Procurement Cost (Commodity, Variable Product Cost -VPC)
- Be responsible for Full Standard Costing data process, Plan/ Collect/ Vefify/Run Standard costing for total COGS (Cost of Goods Sold), not only limited on VPC but also on Conversion Cost (which are new scope of Planning after SAP went-lives including: maintain Control Overview-CO master data, simulate the standard costing in the system and deep-dive analysis on VPC cost against standard cost by Plant/DC/SKUs)
- Provide deep-dive analysis on VPC cost (RM – Raw Material, PM – Packaging Material), leveraging SAP system, to timely support decision making and drive cost efficiency. Benchmark KPIs within Plants to point out opportunities for improvement.  

What You'll Do

1. Be representative Planning team in benchmarking and negotiation of key projects or contract renewal (regard to RM, PM) through deeply business understanding, providing insightful costing model, competitive analyses and various scenarios.

2. Lead evaluation work to recommend Go or No-Go decision, particular:
- Integrate financial & non-financial factors into overall cost – benefit consideration to assess feasibility & acceptability level
- Provide ad-hoc analytical and financial support for any projects to deliver the seamless business results
- Lead financial evaluation in medium/small cost reduction project, support Productivity team in big project during idea filtering stage before submission. 
- Conduct post-evaluation review to realize benefit and get learning for opportunities in other areas.

3. Financial Budgeting, AOP and FC for VPC Cost
- Lead modeling and budgeting cycle MTP (Mid-term Plan), AOP & Forecast Rolling, providing various insightful analysis to identify Opportunities and Risk, highlight the key drivers to deliver Profit Target
- Leading the standard cost planning for VPC on quarterly basic

4. Performance Management for VPC Cost
- Lead month-end closing process, all weekly, monthly, quarterly & yearly reporting packages and ensure accurate/timely creation of management reports, dashboards and executive presentations
- Prepare & maintain database to support VPC performance review across functions, OR, official performance presentation, outlook updates, month-end closing
- Provide Cause of change analysis on actual vs. target & last year performance and vs. standard cost to ensure on target execution. Conduct root-cause analysis and action plans to identify business drivers, improve forecast accuracy and investigate variance for improvement and adjust Standard Cost (if any)
- Extend the deep-dive analysis on VPC cost (RM, PM) down to SKUs level and benchmarking across with comparable by Plant/DC/Line
- Facilitate decision making for management in cost efficiency across Line/Plant/DC

5. Commodity Strategy Planning
- Finance lead monthly CRM (Commodities Risk Management) process. Participate monthly meeting with Excom team, provide insightful analysis to support strategic decision making. Follow up actions plan to be timely executed
- Support PCU in reviewing Material footprint on yearly basic, recommend actions based on financial justification and balance between high level analysis of supply and demand

6. CO Master Data: set and maintain key master data:
- Statistic Key Figure (SKF)
- Activity Type (AT)
- Profit Center and Cost Center
- Cost Allocation Rule
- Maintain S Price for new material, new SKUs 

7. Standard Cost Planning: be responsible to prepare/review input for standard cost for VPC and act consolidation role in leading standard cost planning process including gathering all the require input for Manufacturing Overhead (MOH) (conversation cost including PRC and Depreciation), Logistic Cost and execute standard cost planning in SAP system
- Review BOM, Master Recipe Data
- Prepare/review Standard Cost Planning
- Update plan material, activity price
- Use system and run properly steps (T-Code) to conduct allocation cycle
- Review Product cost estimate
- Release Product Cost Estimate

What You need to be successful

  • University Graduate; BSc degree in Accounting/Finance are preferred 
  • 5+ years’ experience in Management Accounting/Financial Planning or Finance field, experience with FMCG is a plus; 2+ years at managerial positions
  • SAP Costing module experience
  • Very strong analytical; ability to leverage management accounting systems and databases in creative ways to maximum advantage required
  • Strong business acumen and continuous improvement mindset
  • Effective interpersonal relations skills promoting teamwork and collaborative alliances required.
  • Proactive; able to work independently and be a good communicator, team player
  • An ability to work effectively with all levels of staff within the company and externally.
  • Customer oriented mindset 
  • CMA, CIMA, ACCA, CPA, ACA are preferred
